Geology

Short characteristics of the site: An elevation surrounded by outcrops of Cretaceous quartzose sandstone of the Březno Formation and a body of basaltic trachyandesite in its axial part. A quarry after trachyandesite exploitation and numerous prospection pits and trenches, probably used for iron ore extraction (ferruginized volcanic rock). A number of historical inscriptions in sandstone rock wall.
