Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Abandoned quarry in Cretaceous sediments of the Bílá Hora Formation (Cenomanian). They consist of yellowish spongilitic sandy marlstones overlain by glauconitic sandstones with silicites. Turonian age of sediments is evidenced by pelecypod finds. Stratigraphically and sedimentologically important locality.
