Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Extended kaoline mine offers an unique opurtunity to study architectural framework and facies arrangement in generally braided-fluvial environment. Several clayey palaeosol horizons are exposed in the generally gravelly section.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - superficial deposits and post-Variscian magmatites - Upper Carboniferous and Permian - Central and Western Bohemian Late Palaeozoicum
